Sexual Assault and Violence

Have you or someone you know experienced sexual violence?

Sexual violence is defined as any unwanted sexual contact. It includes child sexual abuse, date rape, incest, marital/spousal rape, same gender assault, sexual harassment, internet-related sexual crimes and any other unwelcome sexual contact. It also includes incomplete acts that threaten or humiliate an individual. These crimes are founded on the abuser’s/offender’s need to exercise power and control over someone they perceive as vulnerable. Sexual violence can happen to anyone.
